The American Craftsman Style was a reaction to what was seen by some designers as overly ornate and decorated styles of the Victorian age, hence the leaders of the movement produced furniture and constructed houses that were simpler and less ostentatious than their predecessors, reflecting the concept that “less is more”.

The Sagehill Designs American Craftsman Vanity AC3621D reflects this design philosophy. There are no carved or rope moldings or posts for this vanity, only simple straight lines.

For the countertop, you have a choice of a Carrara white marble from Italy, or a midnight black, sable brown, or desert beige granite. The middle of this top features a gaping hole that opens to a white ceramic sink. Behind the sink are three pre-drilled holes waiting for your choice of a faucet assembly. At the rear of the counter is a backsplash of the same material protecting your wall from getting soaked in water.

Whichever material you choose for the countertop, it will match the cabinet below it that is finished in rustic oak. It features one big drawer on its right side, and four small ones stacked over each other on the left. Below the big drawer is a set of double doors that opens to a shelved storage area. All these provide you with ample space for your toiletries, towels, and bathrobes.

The drawers and doors are opened with brass hardware that match the American Craftsman design of the vanity. The doors and sidings include panels but these, along with the handles, are the only decoration on the cabinet. In keeping with its design concept, the tenons as well as the dowels are exposed.

The drawers are fitted with full extension glides for ease of opening and closing even under heavy loads. Leveling pads are incorporated in the feet to adapt to uneven floor surfaces.
