Virtu USA LS-1013 Casablanca Antique Bathroom Vanity
Richly decorated with acanthus leaves and medallions, the Virtu USA LS-1013 Casablanca Antique Bathroom Vanity can make you feel like you have been transported to Italy during the time of the Renaissance. The acanthus leaves are mounted at the front corners as corbels supporting the stone countertop of the vanity. Right beside the leaves are medallions, providing further embellishments, and in between, right in the center of the vanity, are more acanthus leaves.
Fluted columns proceed from the corbels towards the base, where they end in even more acanthus leaves. The base is tied with a rope trim, while underneath are carved feet elevating the vanity from the floor. Two doors with decorative trim and brass handles secure the storage area of the vanity.
The vanity is finished in antique ivory, which is a perfect match to any of the three stone countertops you can choose from. These are Baltic brown granite, crème marble, and travertine. The countertop features a French edge, while right in its middle is a cavity, also with a French edge, that opens to an 18-inch ivory ceramic sink. Behind the sink opening are three pre-drilled holes for a faucet assembly.
The cabinet frame and legs are assembled using solid Birch wood. The panels, on the other hand, are made of composite panels topped with high-quality veneer. The back panel has a large cutout to facilitate the installation of the water supply and drainage pipes. Since the wood is expected to be exposed to elevated levels of moisture and humidity in the bathroom, all wood components are properly dried to keep them from cracking and warping.
Two coats of paint are applied to the vanity to assure a vivid color. These are overlaid with a clear-coat protective layer to keep them from moisture and prevent their fading and peeling.
